Hostas are perennials and known for foliage rather than flowers. The flowers seems secondary. Nevertheless, the day you find the first bloom is adorable. The funnel or bell shaped flowers hover gracefully above the bold leaves from June to October. Choosing the correct spot in the garden is very important, as some varieties are happy in shade only. Be aware of slugs!
